After introducing the One UI 6.1 to all the popular devices, Samsung is now back to work on introducing the June 2024 security patch for its devices. The company has already introduced the latest security patch update to its flagship devices, including the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23, in the US, but the case is different for Galaxy S23 units in Europe.

Why Samsung brings a second May 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy S23

Last month, Samsung started introducing the second May 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 devices, initially spotted in some Asian countries, including Thailand. With more expansion, these devices are now spotted getting new updates in European countries. For identification, you can check the firmware version of each device: Galaxy S24 (S92*BXXU2AXEC), Galaxy S23 (S91*BXXU5CXE3), and Galaxy S22 (S90*BXXUAEXEA).

In all three version numbers, you can check that the fifth digit remains the same as “U,” which indicates that the update may bring some significant changes for the devices to eradicate some issues. A Galaxy S24 user said that the update has fixed the bug in video mode that caused the camera to shake and vibrate.

So, if you are also using these devices in Europe and are facing any issues, then you should check the latest update. To manually verify the update, you can do that easily by following the simple steps: First, go to the system update, then tap on the software update menu. If you see a new update available, tap on the download button.
