Samsung’s Galaxy Ring Could Get Buds-Style Case
Samsung is introducing its first wearable smart ring, the Galaxy Ring. The Korean giant is expected to offer a charging case for its first upcoming Galaxy Ring, similar to Galaxy Buds.
Samsung is supposed to launch the Galaxy Ring at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10th. Initially, the Korean giant teased the Galaxy Ring unexpectedly at the last Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this year. Since then, to boost the curiosity and enthusiasm among fans, leaks and rumors have continuously teased them.
A new leak suggests that the Galaxy Ring will be charged by a charged carrying case similar to the Galaxy Buds. This is being speculated by a tipster on X who reshared a post from @Universelce that hints that after your Galaxy Ring’s battery runs out of power, it will be recharged by charging through a Galaxy earbud-like carrying case.
Although it appears to pack a lot more bling, The raised section within the charging pins in this section will aid with the power transfer. It is expected that the top section of the case has a cutout to help with alignment and ensure the ring is properly in place. The charging mechanisms for the Samsung Galaxy Ring and Oura Ring are quite different.
Oura Ring uses a huge wireless charging cradle; on the other side, the Galaxy Ring boasts a more portable solution. The report says the Galaxy Ring arrives with a charging case similar to wireless earbuds, making it convenient to carry and top up the ring’s battery anywhere. This case will be charged via a standard USB-C port. It has already been reported that the Galaxy Ring will arrive in nine different sizes, which are five through 13. The brand will offer three color choices for the ring, including black, silver, and gold.
