Samsung to Release Galaxy Z Fold 6 ‘Slim’ in October: No S-Pen, Limited Market
A new Samsung Galaxy device named Galaxy Z Fold 6 ‘Slim’ is on the list of Korean giants to introduce late this year. This device will be thinner than the actual Galaxy Z Fold 6. Let’s take a closer look at what the new report is saying.
The new report says that the Korean giant is working on a new slimmer device that will be the second and thinner version of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, the slimmer version will arrive with limited availability and potentially miss some features. This comes as Samsung faces increased competition from other brands that are offering more innovative and advanced foldable devices.
The reason behind this new edition appears to be to stand as a strong competitor in the foldable market again. Since then, Samsung has lost its market lead. The fan community is eagerly waiting and excited about a rumored thinner, cheaper Fold 6, but Samsung seemed unsure about releasing it. Now a tipter on X suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will be named the Samsung W25 in China. This means the device is coming to China; however, it is also rumored to be arriving in Korea under the prior branding.
He also hinted that the device will be lighter, thinner, and larger than the actual Galaxy Z Fold 6. This thinner variant will be released in October and does not support S-Pen.
For now, the brand is actively focusing on launching the sixth-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024.
