Samsung rolled out June 2024 security patch to the Galaxy A52s and Galaxy A42 in Europe

In the last couple of months, Samsung hasn’t followed its traditional strategy to distribute the security patch to eligible devices rapidly because of the arrival of some significant updates, such as One UI 6.1. But now, with the June 2024 security path, the company is back on track to provide the update to most of the devices. Now the update has started reaching older devices, including the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A42.

Samsung has rolled out the June 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy A52s and Galaxy A42 smartphones with the firmware version numbers A528BXXS8GXEA and A426BXXS7DXF1, respectively. Don’t be too excited, as the update will not provide any significant changes for the device, but it will bring improvements to the security of the devices.

June 2024 update: What’s new?

The June 2024 security patch is the latest firmware, which will enhance the overall security of the devices. Going into details, the latest firmware includes 59 fixes, where Google has introduced 37 patches, while Samsung has also brought 22 more patches to exclusively improve the functioning of the Galaxy devices.
