WhatsApp to bring live message translation for Android users

Spread the love

WhatsApp frequently brings new updates to its users. With all new features, the company is aiming to level the experience of conversion. In recent developments, we can see that the developer has added many new features, such as Video notes, a dedicated dial pad, new filters and effects for video calls, and more. Now, to make more additions, the company has not brought a new live message translation feature.

WhatsApp Developing Message Translation Feature with Language Packs

The Message translation feature allows users to easily translate messages, allowing users to communicate easily in their own language without any barrier.

To make this possible, WhatsApp has used Google’s live translation technology, which executes its possession directly on the user’s devices. This ensures that your private messages are protected and not sent to any server.

As the translation process works in the device, special packs of the specific languages used to translate need to be installed on the device. Initially, the company may start the series with limited languages, including Hindi and English. However, it will aim to get access to more languages in the future.

The feature is currently under development, so it is available to a limited number of users who have enrolled in the beta program and updated their WhatsApp to the latest version 2.2415.8. Users can easily join the WhatsApp beta program simply by tapping on the join button available under the WhatsApp app description page on the Google Play Store.
