Samsung follows a strict policy of software updates, which lists the devices into three different categories: monthly, quarterly, and biannual. According to these, the company plans how frequently it wants to distribute the updates to the users. Once the limit is crossed, those devices are removed. For example, the Galaxy A21 has been deleted in recent developments.
Galaxy A21 crossed the software eligibility criteria
Samsung launched the device back in 2020. The device came with Android 10 preinstalled, and the company gradually introduced two major updates, Android 11 and Android 12.
Along with these, the device has also brought some more security updates, which are also placed for three years. It is worth noticing that Samsung has listed the Galaxy A21 in the biannual list, where it is eligible to get only two software updates in a year. Now, with these reaching the limit, the device is delisted.
If you are still using the Galaxy A21, it is recommended that you upgrade your device within six months of the last security patch because, after six months, the device is not able to protect your data from external threats.
