Verizon rolls out August 2024 security patch to Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 devices

Samsung is constantly bringing the August 2024 security patch to the US. In the last couple of days, the company has introduced the latest security patch update to several flagship devices, including the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23. However, it was limited to some carriers, and now it has started expanding to the Verizon network.

August 2024 Update On Verizon locked Galaxy S24, and Galaxy S23

Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 have started receiving on the Verizon locked variants. Users who own the Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra with the firmware version number S921USQS3AXFJ, S926USQS3AXFJ and S928USQS3AXFJ respectively.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 ultra are getting the same update, with firmware version numbers S911USQS4CXG8, S916USQS4CXG8, and S911USQS4CXG8, respectively.

With the August 2024 security patch, users will not receive any significant changes to their devices, but it will provide some crucial additions that will improve their security.

According to the official documentation, Google and Samsung have added more than 50 fixes. In detail, Google has added the patches to address the issues found in the Android OS, while Samsung has included some extra patches that improve the device’s security.

Moreover, the update may also improve the working of the functions in the Galaxy devices, so if you are having issues, you should check for a new update.
