Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are starting to get the August 2024 update. It was initiated with the US-locked units bonded to the US cellular network and is expected to be expanded to more networks.

As of this writing, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are starting to receive the August 2024 security patch in the US on the US Cellular network with firmware version numbers F721USQS6FXGJ and F711USQS8IXG6, respectively. The unlocked variants will also receive the update in the coming days.
The August 2024 security patch update is a general security patch that doesn’t bring any important changes to the device; however, as the name mentions, the update will provide some security-related enhancements.
According to the official documentation, nearly 50 vulnerabilities have been addressed with the latest update, with the help of Google and Samsung. Along with this, the update may also include some other changes that may enhance the working of the devices.
If you are using the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices in the US, you should check out the update manually via software update via system settings. If you don’t receive the update yet, you have to wait some time until it reaches all units.
