Samsung deliver August 2024 security update to carrier-locked Galaxy S20 lineup in the US

Samsung is constantly delivering the August 2024 security update to all the eligible Galaxy models, while the brand has already covered almost all of its popular flagship Galaxy devices. Now, the Galaxy S20 series is getting refreshed with the August 2024 security update. 

Earlier, Samsung rolled out the update for the Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup in the European countries, while this time, the update available in the USA.

The carrier-locked (US Cellular) Samsung Galaxy S20 series, including the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra, comes with the G981USQSAHXG1G986USQSAHXG1, and G988USQSAHXG1 version numbers.

The software update brings some significant improvements to the device’s security that eventually offer a more safe and secure experience to the users. In addition, the update further adds some relevant enhancements to the device’s overall functionality, along with fixing some known issues and other security-related vulnerabilities, stabilizations, and the device’s overall performance optimizations. 

This will in turn help users have stable, smooth, bug-free, and optimized performance. In addition, Samsung is currently rolling out the update to the Galaxy S20 series in the US market, which will be expanded to other eligible regions soon.
