Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Z Flip 5G are receiving August 2024 security update in Canada

Samsung introduced its Z series model, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and the Galaxy S20 lineup back in 2020 with Android 10, which brought up some impressive functionalities alongside. Now, both devices are receiving the August 2024 security update in Canada.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series, including the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, are kept in the quarterly security update device list, and thus, the August 2024 security update could be their last security patch. 

Meanwhile, the update for Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra carries the G981WVLSAHXH1, G986WVLSAHXH1, and G988WVLSAHXH1 versions. 

On the flip side, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has arrived with the same update and comes with the F707WVLS9IXH1 software version.

Thus, this new update for all the aforementioned Galaxy devices significantly brings several important improvements to the device’s security, all while keeping the device protected from several external malicious attacks, which in turn helps users to have a more safe and secure environment. 

In addition, the update further introduces some key enhancements to the device’s overall functionality alongside certain stabilizations and performance optimizations to offer a more stable, smooth, and bug-free experience to the users.
