Circle to Search can now scan barcodes and QR codes
Samsung introduced one of the convenient features Circle to Search by Google on its Galaxy S24, which can now support automatic code scanning.
Recently, Samsung expanded the availability of Cirlce to Search on its mid-range Galaxy smartphones, including the Galaxy A55, Galaxy A35, and more. It’s undoubtedly a convenient feature that lets you search anything from the screen by just circling the content you want to search directly without even switching between apps.
Now, this feature is getting a new ability to scan codes, which permits users to take advantage of the Circle to Search function to automatically scan barcodes and QR codes. It’s being speculated by a tipster, Mishaal Rahman, who shared a post on X, suggesting that Circle to Search can now automatically scan barcodes and QR codes.
However, a couple of months ago it was reported that Circle to Search can scan barcodes and QR codes soon. Now finally, the brand started rolling out this feature. If you didn’t get this new function yet, you can wait since the company is gradually rolling out.
This new feature will automatically translate barcodes and QR codes into readable data and will showcase it understandably. It will prevent you from manually scanning or inputting codes. The system will directly convert codes into usable information like URLs.
Apart from this, Google has ambitious plans for the Circle to Search feature. It is also expected to add more efficient features in the future and could expand its availability to other Android devices beyond Google and Samsung phones.
