Samsung Galaxy foldable phones get Blackmagic Camera app support

Blackmagic introduced a camera application for Android smartphones called Blackmagic Camera. Initially, it was not compatible with a few Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5, but now that’s not the case anymore.
The Blackmagic Camera app offers professional-grade video recording novelties to enhance the overall video recording experience without any professional skills. It allows you to capture high-quality footage with a wide range of advanced settings.
At first, it was incompatible with various Samsung Galaxy foldable phones; now a recent update has brought a fix for this issue, as it allows foldable users to use the app.
Blackmagic has released an update to its camera application for Android. It changes the application’s version to 1.3. The changed version is now compatible with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Apart from the compatibility, the update also offers a bundle of new recording features, including support for recording timecode with clips, off-speed recording, time-lapse recording, and more.
Noticeably, the Blackmagic Camera app for Android only supports video recording functionality and is not compatible with capturing images. To enhance the capturing experience, Samsung has its dedicated Exper RAW app, which is available for the Galaxy S20 and all the newer Galaxy devices.
