Samsung’s Rollable Phone Might Bring a Huge 12.4-Inch Display
Samsung is looking forward to expanding its smartphone variety by introducing its ever-first rollable phone, which reportedly packs a much larger display than its rival Huawei’s tri-fold.
Undoubtedly, Samsung is one of the leading brands in the foldable industry. To maintain its legacy, it is working on debuting a rollable phone. In 2021, a patent application from Samsung about its rollable phone surfaced on the web.
Since 2021, the company has been developing a rollable phone. It’s expected that the company could debut the rollable phone by the end of 2025. However, there’s been no official evidence about its release until now.
If the report is to be believed, Samsung could debut its ever-first rollable phone in 2025. Reportedly, the device could feature a massive 12.4-inch display. It will also feature under-display camera technology, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, multiple cameras utilising this technology remain unknown because of the phone’s unique form factor.
On the comparison side, Huawei marked its name as the world’s first to debut a tri-folding device with the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate. It will be interesting to see whether Samsung’s upcoming rollable phone will beat Huawei’s tri-folding device.
An insider leaker who is familiar with Samsung’s internal affairs stated that “Samsung Electronics has gone to the extent of cutting costs to the point where it will stop producing mock-up products provided to general mobile phone stores starting this year.”
