Samsung usually doesn’t follow any pattern to deliver the latest software updates to its Galaxy phones and tablets. Meanwhile, the company is currently busy rolling out two most crucial builds—One UI 6.1.1 and the September 2024 security update—and after delivering the One UI 6.1.1 update to the carrier-locked Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Z Fold 4/Flip 4 in the US, it’s now time for the unlocked models to get the update.

The carrier-unlocked Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra and Galaxy Z foldables, including Z Fold 4 and Flip 4, have started receiving the new One UI 6.1.1 update alongside the September 2024 security update in the US.

This update for the carrier-unlocked Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra carries the S901U1UEU6EXH9S906U1UEU6EXH9, and S908U1UEU6EXH9 software versions, while the carrier-unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 come with the F936U1UEU6GXH8 and F721U1UEU6GXH8 build numbers.

Meanwhile, the new One UI 6.1.1 update significantly brings some new and incredible Galaxy AI features, including Sketch to Image, creating portraits, and more, which eventually takes the overall experience of the users to a new height. It even merges several relevant productivity and health-centered features to boost and elevate the Galaxy experience of the users.

In addition, the update further includes various improvements to the device’s overall security by the integration of the September 2024 security patch that allows users to have a safe and secure experience, resolves some known issues, brings stability and performance optimizations, and delivers new features all while protecting the device from external harms.
