Google Maps on Android Auto began receiving the new Incident Reporting feature widely in the US

Android Auto is considered the most intelligent and is among the best services by Google. It is packed with some impressive features; however, a new and highly anticipated incident reporting feature was seemingly nowhere to be launched within Google Maps on Android Auto; it’s now finally begun rolling out widely in the US.
A while ago, a report flashed online, suggesting the arrival of the new incident reporting feature on Android Auto within Google Maps in the US; however, there was no sign of a wider rollout.
Now, it’s happening. The latest incident reporting feature that allows users to have incident warnings with respect to traffic issues, lane blockages, and accidents in real-time. Meanwhile, Google is rolling out this most-awaited functionality for Google Maps on Android Auto.

Although Google Maps has been integrated for the sake of allowing users to have proper knowledge about correct directions and locations, unfortunately it lacks a few major additions, while incident reporting is one of them.
The new incident reporting feature consists of a yellow-colored triangular-shaped icon with a “+” symbol in the middle that sits underneath the compass icon. When tapping the yellow icon, it will bring up the newly-added Add a Report menu alongside a few other options such as slowdown, construction, lane closure, crash, and more.
Lastly, as Android Auto mirrors the user’s Android handset to their car’s built-in system, which allows owners to have a safe driving experience while also avoiding distractions and accidents, Google has already begun rolling out the incident reporting feature in Google Maps on Android Auto in the US, which will significantly enhance and improve the overall functionality and user’s safety.
