Galaxy S25 Ultra Rumored to Debut with Advanced M14 OLED Panel

The Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup is the coming revolution in the tech industry. The Ultra variant of the series, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, could feature an M14 OLED display and the standard and plus variants to reuse the older M13 OLEDs.
Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S25 series as the successor to the current Galaxy S24 series. The coming lineup will include, as usual, three variants: Base, Plus, and Ultra. It is supposed to debut in early 2025.
The Korean tech giant is expected to attach an M14 OLED display to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Whereas the two junior models, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25, are expected to feature an M13 OLED panel. It is the same panel the current latest Galaxy S24 series features.
Although Samsung has already delivered these M14 OLEDs for the newly launched iPhones and Pixels. It already builds OLED panels for the iPhone 16 and Pixel 9 series using M14 materials. By this prospect, it’s quite obvious to guess the same upgrade on the coming Galaxy S25 lineup. However, it seems that Samsung is not in the mood to offer an M14 display on all three models.
A tipster on X shared a post stating that “Galaxy S25 will apparently not come with the latest M14 OLED panel from Samsung.” This suggests that Samsung will offer the M14 in the ultra variant rather than the base models. Somewhere, it seems that the smartphone division of Samsung can purchase components from other vendors, and they have also chosen to save costs by using older technology in some models.
