Samsung Releases September 2024 Update for Galaxy S23 Series, Fixes Camera Bug on Ultra in the USA

Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 update significantly brought several impressive features and has received a lot of applause from the Galaxy audience. Unfortunately, the update contained a camera bug for the owners of Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, forcing the company to pull back the update. Following the issue, Samsung has now offered a new update that could resolve the camera zooming glitch.
Interestingly, this update is also available for both the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+; however, it only consists of the new September security patch, while the fix for the camera glitch remains only limited to the Ultra model.
Earlier this week, Samsung has begun rolling out the latest update to the Galaxy S23 Ultra in the US that resolves the issues where the users are facing ghosting in pictures that are captured between 16-19.9x zoom levels, with the intelligent optimization option turned on.
Thus, the carrier-locked (T-Mobile, MeteroPCS, Spectrum Mobile, Comcast, and Verizon) Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra carries the S918USQU4CXI1 firmware version, while the carrier-unlocked model comes with the S918U1UEU4CXI1 software version.
On the other side, the carrier-locked (T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Comcast, and Spectrum Mobile) Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ carry the S911USQS4CXHC and S916USQS4CXHC firmware versions, while the carrier-unlocked variants have the S911U1UES4CXHC and S916U1UES4CXHC build numbers.
Meanwhile, this latest update significantly brings the key fix to resolve the camera zoom performance weird mess-up; it brings stability to the overall camera performance to offer a more stable camera experience to the users.
Alongside, the update further integrates the September 2024 security patch that eventually introduces several key improvements to the device’s security to provide a more safe and secure experience to the users, resolves some known issues, fixes certain bugs, and delivers new features all while keeping the device safe from external harms.
