Samsung Galaxy A16 4G and 5G specifications surfaced online

Samsung is setting up to launch its latest mid-range smartphone: the Galaxy A16 ahead of its official launch, the key specifications of the device surfaced online.

It has already been revealed that Samsung will debut two variants of the Galaxy A16 device: 

Galaxy A16 4G and Galaxy A16 5G 

Reportedly, it will be the first Galaxy mid-range device to receive six years of software support. Before any official announcement, the specifications and a few details of the phone leaked, which showcased that both variants feature quite similar hardware, except for the processor and network support. 

Galaxy A16 5G and 4G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. The dimensions measure 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9 mm for the 4G variant. While the 5G measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9 mm. Both weigh 200 g. 

The 4G variant is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, whereas the 5G variant could be based on the Exynos 1300 or Dimensity 6300+ chipset, compared to the Dimensity 6100+ on the predecessor. 

The camera setup will include a 50MP primary, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front side, a 13MP selfie is housed. The connectivity specs include Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C, and GPS. For dust and water resistance, it has an IP54 rating. Samsung could offer a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support on board.
