Samsung just launched its latest Fan Edition model, the Galaxy S24 FE, in September, which is the newest addition within the current flagship Galaxy S series but as an affordable phone. Meanwhile, the company has even promised seven years of OS support for the models, whose journey begins with its first software update in the form of an October 2024 security patch in Europe and India.
The company has already begun delivering the software updates to the Galaxy S24 FE, beginning with the European and Asian markets, while further expanding it to more eligible regions.
Meanwhile, the new October 2024 security update for the Galaxy S24 FE has the S721BXXS2AXI5 firmware version and currently available in India and Europe.

Feature-wise, this update significantly holds plenty of fixes for various security-related vulnerabilities, resolves certain known issues, brings new and optimized features, and adds some key improvements to the device’s overall security to offer a more safe and secure experience all while keeping the device secure.
By contrast, the new Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has kicked off a sparkling seven-year OS and security support journey and is eligible for receiving monthly security patches according to Samsung’s software update policy.
Although it’s already been confirmed via SDC24 that no One UI 7 update will be there up until 2025, it’s arriving with the Galaxy S25 on board. Thus, the new Android 15-based One UI 7 will not be there for other Galaxy devices before the Galaxy S25 series.
