Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 getting October 2024 security patch in Canada

Samsung pushed the new October 2024 security update to the current Galaxy Z series, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in Europe and the US. Now, the foldables are getting the update in other countries; currently live in Canada. 

The October 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 comes with the F956WVLSIAXIB and F741WVLSIAXIB firmware versions. It measures around 440 MB and is a minor security update. As detailed in the latest October 2024 security bulletin, it significantly brings several key improvements to the device’s security that help users to have a more safe and secure environment while also protecting the device from external harms. In addition, it further resolved certain known issues and fixed bugs and other relevant flaws. 

Moreover, this October 2024 security patch further adds various relevant enhancements to the device’s overall functionality, brings stability, optimizes system performance, delivers improved features, and includes other bug fixes and improvements to provide a more stable, smooth, secure, and optimized software performance to the users. 

Lastly, the aforementioned update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 is currently live in the Canadian market, while the update should follow the other eligible regions soon.
