
Samsung has been leading from the front when it comes to providing software updates to its entire Galaxy ecosystem. While the October 2024 security update is already rolling out to a lot of devices, Samsung has started delivering the firmware to the Galaxy S23 series along with the Galaxy A55 5G in Europe.
The October 2024 security update to the Galaxy S23 line, including S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra, has the S911BXXS6CXI4, S916BXXS6CXI4, and S918BXXS6CXI4 firmware versions and holds an update size of 443.70 MB.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A55 5G is also receiving the same update and carries the A556BXXS5AXI4 version number and measures 211.42 MB.

Meanwhile, according to the changelog, the October 2024 security update significantly introduces plenty of key improvements to the device’s overall security that aim to offer a more safe and secure environment to the Galaxy users. It also resolves certain known issues, brings stability to the device’s behavior, and applies the latest security patches, all while protecting the device from several external harms.
Additionally, the update further adds various essential enhancements to the device’s functionality, offers a personalized experience, adds several performance optimizations, and seamless yet standardized features, which in turn offer smooth, stable, and optimized software performance to the users.
