One UI 7 to Give Some Tweaks on App Icons: Preparation for Beta Testing

Undoubtedly, Samsung is continuously working on bringing the Android 15-based One UI 7 as soon as possible. The update is highly anticipated to bring more vibrant color icons and a fresh design. Interestingly, the company may have already changed those.

Samsung was supposed to release its One UI 7 beta sometime in August, but it will release the beta version by the end of this year for developers. The only reason behind this unusual delay is to deliver a completely refined and more stable software version with top-notch customizations and stability to enhance the user experience.

Samsung has already offered a sneak peek at One UI 7, which showcased a few notable UI changes, including dedicated notifications, Shade & Quick Panel, and new app icons.

The company has upgraded the icons with more vibrant colors and a fresh design. However, it seems that it may have already changed those. A well-reliable tipster, Ice Universe, suggests that Samsung has replaced various icons in the latest internal build of One UI 7.

It introduced a new design for various app icons, which are Gallery, Phone, Camera, Recorder, Contacts, Samsung Notes, and many other first-party apps. Now the company has changed the color scheme of the Gallery icon; the multi-colored has a red-dominated color tone.

Samsung is expected to begin One UI beta testing in December. However, the stable update is already scheduled for next year. The Galaxy S25 series is expected to run Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box, which will debut in early 2025.
