Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are finally receiving the October 2024 security update for the first time in the company’s home town, South Korea.

Last month, Samsung treated its 2022 foldables with the One UI 6.1.1 update alongside the September security patch that brought about a handful of new features and enhancements for the Galaxy users.

Now, the October 2024 security update is available for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 in South Korea, and the update will follow in other regions shortly. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 have the F936NKSS4GXIC and F721NKSS4GXIC firmware versions.

The security update measures around 438.43 MB, which means it’s just a minor security patch that doesn’t introduce any major features or changes. It’s full of some significant improvements to the device’s overall security, while also resolving some known issues, fixing bugs and other flaws, and applying the latest security patches, all while protecting the device from external harms and offering a more safe and secure environment to the users.

What’s more is the addition of various relevant enhancements that improve the overall functionality of the device, add stability to the device’s behavior, bring performance optimizations, and deliver much improved features that help users to have a more smooth, stable, and optimized software experience.
