
Samsung is rolling out the October 2024 security update to a few more Galaxy smartphones in the US, including the Galaxy S22 series, S23 FE, Z Fold 4, and Z Flip 4.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Series, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4 is getting October 2024 security patch for the carrier-locked in the US on the Verizon network, while the update will follow the other eligible carriers and regions shortly.
Meanwhile, the carrier-locked Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra have the S901USQS6EXJ3, S906USQS6EXJ3, and S908USQS6EXJ3 firmware versions, while the Galaxy S23 FE carries the S711USQS5CXJ1 build number.
On the other side, the carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 come with the F936USQS6GXIC and F721USQS6GXIC version numbers.
Although according to the changelog, the October 2024 security update doesn’t introduce any new feature or changes; it is a minor security patch that brings plenty of improvements to the device’s overall security, resolves certain known issues, and fixes all the security-related bugs and other flaws, all while protecting the device from several external threats in order to offer a more safe and secure environment to the users.
In addition, the update further adds various key enhancements to the device’s overall functionality, adds stability to the system behavior, brings performance optimizations, applies the latest security patches, and delivers much improved features to provide a much more stable, smooth, and optimized software experience to the users.
