Samsung Galaxy S20 FE joins the October 2024 security update

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is getting the October 2024 security update for the first time in any region. Earlier, the carrier-locked Galaxy S21 FE received the update in the US.

The October 2024 security update for the Galaxy S20 FE is now available in South Korea, while the company will expand it to more eligible regions shortly. The Galaxy S20 FE has the G781NKSS9GXJ1 firmware versions and measures roughly 275.10 MB.

Although the changelog doesn’t mention any major changes or features added, it’s solely a security patch that brings a lot of improvements to the device’s overall security, resolves several known issues, fixes certain bugs and other flaws, and applies the latest security patches in order to offer a more safe and secure environment to the users, all while keeping their devices safe from various external harms and threats.

Additionally, the update significantly adds plenty of relevant enhancements to the device’s overall functionality, brings stability to the system behavior, adds performance optimizations, and delivers much improved features that help users have a more enhanced, optimized, and stable software experience.

Moreover, Samsung is currently rolling out the update to the Galaxy S20 FE units in its home town, while users can now download the latest version on their devices when available.
