Samsung introduced its thinnest foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The phone will be available in a few markets, including Korea and China. The Chinese variant is rumored to have a unique name, finish, and potentially more premium materials.

In Korea, Samsung introduced a glass and metal finish for the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The device is available in the Black Shadow color.

Now a well-reliable tipster, Ice Universe, claims that Samsung will make the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition available in a black and gold color combination. Also, the device will feature ceramic for the back cover instead of glass.

Noticeably, the last time Samsung used ceramic material for a few Galaxy S10+ units was debuted in 2019. Now the reason behind suddenly using the ceramic back cover is to offer better protection for the new foldable phone. Apart from this, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in China will be launched with new branding called the Samsung W25.

Although Samsung just announced the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in Korea for name sake since the detailed specifications of the device have yet to be revealed. It’s not clear yet whether the device will support S-Pen. Also, which type of glass is used on the standard Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in Korea is unclear; it’s potentially Gorilla Glass Victus 2, similar to the one found in the standard Z Fold 6. The company hasn’t mentioned any particular glass material for the Korean variant.

The company also doesn’t exactly confirm the availability of the device in other regions. It was just announced that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will be released in Korea on October 25 for a price over $2,000. However, if the report is to be believed, the device would launch in China with the new branding called Samsung W25 and with distinct design elements.
