One UI 7.0 to Add Galaxy AI Button Support for Galaxy Tab S9
Samsung recently debuted its latest tablet lineup, the Galaxy Tab S10, with the new novelty Galaxy AI button. Now the company is looking forward to expanding this Galaxy AI button by offering its support to the Galaxy Tab S9 with One UI 7 update.
The Korean tech giant ‘Samsung’ introduced cross-compatibility functionality with the Galaxy Tab S10 series, which made the Galaxy Tab S10 and Galaxy Tab S9 accessories compatible with each other.
This means that Galaxy Tab S9 users can use the Galaxy Tab S10 accessories without any compatibility issues. However, here’s the catch: the Galaxy Tab S10 keyboard has a dedicated Galaxy AI button, but the Galaxy Tab S9 doesn’t have the support for this yet. Fortunately, this will not be the long case, since Samsung is looking forward to offering the Galaxy AI button support with One UI 7 to the Galaxy Tab S9.
Currently, the Galaxy AI isn’t compatible with the Cover Keyboard when paired with older Galaxy Tab S9 tablets, but it’s highly anticipated that Samsung will offer the compatibility with the coming software version.
It is speculated by the recently released promotion video by Samsung for the Galaxy Tab S10 series Cover Keyboard accessories. At one point, the video showcases the Galaxy AI button. Noticeably, the fine print at the bottom of the screen highlights that this feature might not be available with older Galaxy Tab S9 tablets until they run One UI 7 or above software version.
“On Galaxy Tab S9 and Tab S9 FE series devices, One UI 7.0 or above is required to support the Galaxy AI Key function. It may require one UI update.”
