Samsung has just released the details of the new November 2024 security update bulletin for its eligible Galaxy devices, while it has already started distributing the November patch to the Galaxy S24 series in the US. Now, the company is expanding the update to more carriers in the country.
Although the latest Android security bulletin brings tons of fixes for all the security-related vulnerabilities, it focuses on offering a more secure user experience.
US Unlocked and Locked Galaxy S24 Receives November 2024 Security Patch
Meanwhile, the latest November 2024 security update is now available on several carriers, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Comcast, USCellular, and Dish Wireless in the US. The update for the carrier-locked Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra has the S921USQS4AXJB, S926USQS4AXJB, and S928USQS4AXJB firmware versions.
On the other hand, the carrier-unlocked Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup is also getting the same update in the US that can be identified with the S921U1UES4AXJA, S926U1UES4AXJA, and S928U1UES4AXJA version numbers.
With the latest November update, Samsung adds more security towards data transfer using USB devices. Now, right after updating to the latest version, Galaxy phones will not be allowed to be connected to the device for transferring data when the Auto Blocker is enabled with Maximum Restrictions. Also, the USB devices can only be used for charging purposes.
Alternatively, the update further brings plenty of key improvements for the overall security of the device, solves and fixes all the bugs and other security-based vulnerabilities, applies the latest security patches, brings stability to the device behavior, and adds performance optimizations to offer a stable, secure, and optimized user experience.
Lastly, the November patch is currently going live in some major countries like Europe and the US, while it will follow the other eligible regions and devices shortly.
