Samsung is struggling at providing firmware updates to its Galaxy Watches
Samsung’s software update excellence surpasses that of its entire Galaxy smartphone line. However, the company is lagging behind in delivering software updates to its smartwatches, as certain users have complained of not receiving the updates for months.
Samsung’s consistency of rolling out the relevant firmware updates to its Galaxy phones is the best.
But here’s the disappointing part! Samsung is pretty cold at providing updates to its Galaxy (via-Android Authority) smartwatches, which is disappointing. Meanwhile, several Galaxy watches, thanks to users on Reddit, have stated that their Galaxy watches have been running on the security patches from months older.
Given the following situation, a Galaxy Watch 6 user on the Reddit platform mentioned that the watch has not received a single update since March this year. Alternatively, even Samsung watches, including the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and Galaxy Watch FE, remain still on over 5 months older June security updates, while that’s not it as older Galaxy watches like the Watch 4, 5, and 6 are running on even older March security updates.
What’s more is that Samsung is literally struggling to provide firmware updates to its Galaxy smartwatches, and yet another example that suits the best is the Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch.
While the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra are the only models that are currently running on the One UI 6 Watch version after hitting its stability phase; however, the Galaxy Watch 6 owners are still waiting for the stable version as it has not been rolled out for all the users.
