Samsung has already started rolling out the November 2024 security update in all the eligible regions and to the Galaxy phones. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 series is currently getting the latest security update in the US market, and the company is now expanding it to the carrier-unlocked Galaxy S23 lineup.
The security update for the unlocked versions of Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra carries the S911U1UES5CXI8, S916U1UES5CXI8, and S918U1UES5CXI8 firmware versions and integrates the November patch.
Being a minor security and bug fixing patch, the November 2024 security update doesn’t bring any major features or changes. But it significantly addresses plenty of high-level security vulnerabilities, solves certain issues, and fixes all the Android and Samsung-specific flaws in order to offer a more safe experience to the users while also ensuring to protect the device against external threats.
Alternatively, the security patch further brings a lot of enhancements for the overall functionality of the device, adds stability to the device’s behavior, optimizes performance, applies the latest security patches, and delivers more improved features to provide a stable, smooth, and optimized software experience to the users.
In contrast, Samsung is delivering a new Auto Blocker feature to the selective Galaxy phones, while the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold series have received the feature up until now. However, it seems like Samsung will not provide the feature to the Galaxy S23 models.
