Samsung is one of the leading brands in the smartphone industry, and now it’s actively working on leading the foldable market, for which it has been struggling for so long. Finally, it makes a strong comeback in the foldable market.
The Korean tech giant was the pioneer in the foldable smartphone market with the Galaxy Fold 5G. On the comparison side, Chinese brands are the strong foldable manufacturers in the foldable market, and this has eroded its market dominance.
Samsung still led the market in the second quarter of the year with a 16.4% share, but Motorola was too close with 15.6%. However, to stand strong against its rival, it has managed to regain its strong position in the market.
If the new report from the IDC is to be believed, fortunately, Samsung led the foldable smartphone market in the third quarter of this year with a share of 51.2%, which is a massive boost as compared to the previous 16.6% share.
However, Motorola’s market share dropped from 15.6% to 15.5% and was housed in the second position. Finally, Samsung proved its leading dignity, as it is way ahead of the competition, and the newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are one of the biggest reasons behind this massive boost in market share.
