Samsung is setting up to expand the advancement in its foldable lineup by debuting its first tri-foldable phone. Samsung might use an infolding design for its tri-fold device to solve the durability.
Samsung is one of the leading brands in the foldable market, despite the fact that its foldable phone lacks long-term durability. There are more foldable manufacturers, such as Google and Chinese brands, to stand strong against Samsung. To maintain dignity, The company is actively working on exploring new form factors, including a tri-fold phone.
According to the new report from ET News, Samsung is actively developing this device, focusing on addressing durability issues. The phone is expected to be based on an ‘infolding’ design algorithm, which means it can fold inwards twice instead of folding once inward and once outward like the Huawei Mate XT.
The design keeps the external display protected and just makes it a bit likely to get damaged from drops and impacts. The device is expected to feature a nearly 9- to 10-inch screen size while unfolded and 2 inches bigger than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and similar to mid-sized tablets similar to the current Galaxy Tab S9.
However, there is no more information regarding the forthcoming tri-foldable phone for now, since the company has yet to reveal any details about the phone. Recently, Samsung debuted its Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which is the thinnest foldable phone in the Galaxy family, and now it is rumored to launch the Galaxy Z Flip FE soon. It will be interesting to see exactly how The company will manage the thickness of its upcoming Galaxy tri foldable.
