Samsung beats other Android smartphone makers in providing security patches as quickly as possible. The November 2024 security update arrived on the Galaxy S7 FE and Galaxy S24 early this month, while it landed on the Galaxy S23 just last week; meanwhile, now the Galaxy S21 series gets November 2024 update in Canada.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 units, including the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra, are receiving the update with the G991WVLSEGXJ4, G996WVLSEGXJ4, and G998WVLSEGXJ4 firmware versions.
Meanwhile, the November 2024 security update measures 329.90 MB; the update significantly details the security vulnerabilities fixed in the latest update. Although the security patch doesn’t add any major features and changes, it eventually improves the overall security of the device to offer a secure experience to the users, all while keeping the device protected from external harms.
Alternatively, the update further adds stability and reliability to the system behavior, brings performance optimizations, delivers much improved features, and applies efficient system functionality in order to provide a more stable, smooth, and optimized software experience to the users.
Moreover, Samsung is currently rolling out the November security update for the Galaxy S21 owners in the Canadian market, and the patch will shortly follow the other eligible regions.
