Samsung Galaxy AI Could Adopt ChatGPT Features with OpenAI’s Support

Samsung introduced a powerful suite of AI-powered features under the title Galaxy AI earlier this year with the Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy AI includes various advanced technologies, including Google’s Gemini, and now it is exploring a potential partnership with OpenAI.
The new report suggests that OpenAI will collaborate with Samsung to integrate OpenAI’s AI capabilities into future Galaxy devices, which will improve their AI-powered capabilities.
Initially, Samsung exclusively introduced the Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S24 with One UI 6.1; however, later, it gradually started expanding it to more devices, and now it is rapidly expanding its reach. The brand is eyeing Galaxy AI to equip over 200 million devices with AI capabilities this year. With this growth target, the company is targeting to achieve a billion Galaxy AI-enabled devices shortly.
OpenAI, which seems to play a similar strategy as its partnership with Apple for Apple Intelligence, is exploring a potential collaboration with Samsung to integrate its AI capabilities into Galaxy devices.
A possible partnership between Samsung and OpenAI could result in a delicate balancing act for Samsung, considering its existing partnership with Google. However, while exploring OpenAI’s AI capabilities, the Korean giant is also looking forward to integrating Google’s Gemini AI capabilities. Samsung also plans to integrate Google’s Gemini AI into its forthcoming AR smart glasses.
