Samsung’s approach towards its security updates for the Galaxy models is apparently more directed and comprehensive, beating any other Android smartphone maker in the market. The November 2024 security update has already rolled out for the other flagships; meanwhile, the 3rd-gen foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, are receiving the security update in the US.
The November 2024 update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 is now available for both the carrier-locked (all carriers, including Verizon) and unlocked units, where the carrier-locked units of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 come with the F926USQS9JXK5 and F711USQSAJXK5 firmware versions.
Alternatively, the carrier-unlocked models are also receiving the similar security patch and have the F926U1UES9JXK5 and F711U1UESAJXK5 version numbers.
For Galaxy users, as usual, the changelog doesn’t mention any major changes or features and integrates the November security patch; it packs a lot of significant improvements to the overall system security that will offer a more secure experience for the users while also protecting their devices against malicious harms and threats.
The update also brings efficiency to the overall system performance alongside other relevant performance optimizations. It also adds stability and reliability to the system behavior, improves the security, applies the latest security patches, and delivers much-improved features to help users to have a more stable, smooth, and bug-free experience.
Moreover, the aforementioned update has already started rolling out to Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 owners in the US, while it’s expected to reach even more countries in the future.
