Galaxy S24 Series Joins Verizon BYOD Program Alongside November 2024 Security Update

The November 2024 security update hit the Samsung Galaxy S24 models earlier this month; meanwhile, the devices are getting a 2nd November patch, but with a twist!

Samsung has begun rolling out yet another software update for the Galaxy S24 owners that integrates the November 2024 security update again on the Verizon network in the US while also starting the BYOD policy for some select customers.

What is BYOD Program?

In case you are unaware, “Bring Your Own Device, or “BYOD, is a policy of Verizon carrier that significantly allows smartphone customers to contact the carrier for activating their unlocked smartphones on a current or new Verizon plan; however, the device must be compatible with Verizon’s mobile network.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series gets November 2024 Security update

Meanwhile, the 2nd November security patch for the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra carries the S921USQU4AXK4S926USQU4AXK4, and S928USQU4AXK4 firmware versions; however, it brings several key improvements to the overall security while also improving system performance.

This will eventually allow users to have a more smooth yet optimized system performance.

Alternatively, the changelog further mentions that the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program has now started for the Galaxy S24 owners who are looking forward to making the switch of their unlocked models to Verizon’s new or existing mobile network plan only from some select mobile carriers in the US.

Moreover, Samsung is also pushing the security update integrating the November 2024 security patch on even more carriers, including T-Mobile and MetroPCS. Hence, Galaxy S24 owners can now install the new software update on their devices when available, while interested customers can also avail themselves of some exciting offers from the Verizon mobile network if wanting to switch from other carriers.
