Samsung introduces AI Subscription Club Plan for AI-powered appliances
Samsung introduced an AI Subscription Club plan in South Korea that permits consumers to pay for AI-powered appliances for a monthly fee.
It has already been reported that Samsung will ask to pay to use the Galaxy AI features after 2025. Now the Korean tech giant has introduced an AI subscription club in South Korea for AI-powered appliances.
The new AI Subscription Club will allow consumers to take AI-powered appliances as rent for a monthly fee. However, this initiative is only for AI-powered appliances and does not regard paid tiers for AI features on Galaxy devices.
This subscription will permit consumers to try out Samsung’s AI-powered products for a specific period by paying a monthly subscription fee. This permits more consumers to try out Samsung’s premium appliances and AI features before even buying those devices.
Consumers can use this subscription to rent various appliances such as refrigerators, TVs, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, and more. Noticeably, the Subscription Club also introduced a free repair for devices that malfunction under general scenarios. Also, the consumers who buy subscriptions will receive an AI Subscription Club Samsung Card.
The All-In-One plan allows users to combine products, repair services, self-care, and at-home service visits. The plan can be subscribed to for up to 60 months, and it’s possible to be canceled mid-way. Noticeably, the Kimchi Refrigerator, which costs KRW 3 million, can be subscribed to at a monthly rent of KRW 10,000. The ‘Smart’ plan permits users to subscribe to a product and one service of their choice.
The Korean tech giant has partnered with multiple brands to offer discounts on their services to AI Subscription Club members, including CJ CheilJedang, Daemyung I’m Ready Mutual Aid, Everland, Millie’s Library, Shilla Duty Free, SK Broadband, Yellow Balloon, and seven food companies.
