Galaxy S24 series takes December 2024 Security Update in the USA
Samsung is looking forward to expanding the December 2024 security update for the Galaxy S24 series, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in the US. However, the company released the Android 15-based One UI 7 Beta Program for these devices. Those who are interested can enroll for the update, but it’s only available for unlocked and T-Mobile users.
The December security patch is now available for both the carrier-locked and unlocked units of the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in the USA (Those who didn’t join the beta program). The update has been released with the S921USQS4AXKD, S926USQS4AXKD, and S928USQS4AXKD firmware numbers for the locked (Comcast, T-Mobile) versions.
On the other side, the unlocked units have the S921U1UES4AXKF, S926U1UES4AXKF, and S928U1UES4AXKF version numbers.
The recent security patch for the December month mentions no new features or changes; rather, it significantly addresses fixes for various security vulnerabilities that offer a secure user experience while also improving the overall functionality and protecting the device against external potential threats.
Simultaneously, the update further adds stability to the overall system behavior, brings certain performance optimizations, applies the latest security patches for solving all the high and critical issues, and delivers much improved features for a smooth, stable, and optimized user experience.
