Epic Games Store is a digital storefront and distribution service for video games and soon it will be pre-installed on a few particular Galaxy devices sold by Telefonica in selected regions.
Epic games store to be available in selected regions
Currently, the Epic Games Store is only available on Microsoft Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. Noticeably, the iOS version is only available for European users. Now, finally, the brand is expanding the range by making the Epic Games Store pre-installed on some Android phones sold by Telefonica in selected regions which are as follows –
- Spain
- UK
- Germany
- Latin America
This deal will be significant to make it easier for users in these regions to access games from the Epic Games Store. If the users are residing in these regions, they can find the Epic Games Store pre-installed on their Galaxy devices.
In the press release, Epic Games stated, “Players will now be able to more easily download Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe as well as third-party games in the future.” the aim behind this alliance is just to provide a more competitive ecosystem for Android players, empowering them with a choice beyond the conventional application marketplaces.
Epic Games has had a successful year, winning legal battles against its rival brands such as Google and Apple. Noticeably, they have also recently filed a lawsuit against Samsung and Google over sideloading restrictions.
The Epic Games Store will be installed on a few Android smartphones sold by Telefonica in selected markets. This will be the first time in history it will be pre-installed on Galaxy smartphones.
