Samsung is now looking forward to expanding the December 2024 security update to other older Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the update already hit the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 units a couple of days ago. Now, these 5th generation foldables have recently started receiving the security update in Europe.
Right after delivering the security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 in South Korea, Samsung is pushing the December 2024 security update to the devices in Europe, which has been released with the F946BXXS4DXKC and F731BXXS4DXKC firmware versions.
Although the latest security update doesn’t mention any major features or changes, it brings several significant improvements to the overall security while also fixing all the bugs and issues addressed in the previous version and protecting the device from external threats and potential harms. This eventually offers a secure user experience along with an efficient performance.
Alternatively, the update further adds stability and reliability to the system behavior, brings certain key performance optimizations, applies the latest security patches, and delivers much-improved features that in turn provide a more stable, smooth, and optimized user experience.
For now, Samsung is rolling out the December patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 owners in Europe and will start expanding to the other eligible regions soon in the next coming days. Thus, users can download the latest version on their devices when available.
