Samsung has already started delivering the December 2024 security update for the Galaxy S24 series users who have decided to opt out to install the latest Android 15-based One UI 7 beta version. Expanding it to more regions, Samsung is currently pushing the update to the S24 owners more widely.
Meanwhile, alongside the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra units, the December 2024 security update is also available for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 models in Canada.
The update for non-beta users of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series came with S921WVLS4AXKA, S926WVLS4AXKA, and S928WVLS4AXKA firmware versions and roughly measures 437.83 MB.
While the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, identified with the F956WVLS2AXKC and F741WVLS2AXKC firmware versions, were the first foldables to get the security update, it, however, doesn’t mention any new features or changes but brings a lot of safety fixes while also adding improved security for the overall system security that significantly offers a secure user experience and protects the device from external potential risks.
Alternatively, the update further brings certain performance optimizations for efficient functionality, adds stability to the device’s behavior, applies the latest security patches for more safety, and delivers much-improved features that will significantly lead to a more optimized, smooth, and stable user experience.
