One UI 7 Takes Sharing to the Next Level with New Features
Samsung is gearing up to introduce a convenient feature that lets you access your Galaxy phone’s files and use it as a webcam for your Galaxy Book with One UI 7 to enhance user experience.
Samsung has already offered dozens of new features, improvements, and more with the first One UI 7 beta. However, the company is still busy developing new convenient features to introduce with the upcoming One UI 7 beta update, as the report says.
If the report from Android Authority is to be believed, Samsung with the One UI 7 lets you access your Galaxy Phone’s files and use it as a webcam for your Galaxy Book. Initially, the company introduced the Camera Sharing feature with One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S24 series, but it was only compatible with the Galaxy tablets.
Now the company is expanding the camera-sharing feature by making it compatible with Galaxy Book PCs with One UI 7. To use Camera Share for both your Galaxy phone and Galaxy Book, you need to have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Camera Share turned on.
To turn on Camera Share on your Galaxy Book PC, navigate to the Settings app, go to Connected devices, and tap on Camera Share. Currently, the page is not available on the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 running One UI 6.0 Book, so it seems the company has yet to roll out the requisite application update on Windows to support this feature. Although, according to Samsung’s Tips application, Camera Sharing is a new feature in One UI 7, while the Samsung support page hints it’s already available for devices running One UI 6.1.
Apart from Camera Sharing, Samsung is also planning to offer a Storage Share feature with One UI 7, which lets you browse the pictures, music, and files on your phone or tablet directly from your PC without a USB connection. You can easily enable this feature by navigating to Settings >> Connected devices on both Galaxy smartphones and Galaxy Book PCs.
