Samsung is preparing to expand the Galaxy A06 by debuting it in the 5G variant soon as the successor to the Galaxy A06 4G.

A few months ago, in August, Samsung debuted the Galaxy A06 4G. Now, it is gearing up to bring its 5G variant, which has already surfaced online. Let’s take a closer look at the device.

The Galaxy A06 5G has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance with the dedicated model number SM-A066B/DS. The certification revealed that the device will feature dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz).

Noticeably, the forthcoming Galaxy A06 5G will be the first smartphone in the Galaxy A0x family to support 5G connectivity. Apart from the connectivity, the certification has not revealed more details of the device. It is expected that the device could feature an LCD display.

The standard Galaxy A06 4G variant features a 6.7-inch LCD display with a support of a 60HzHz refresh rate and HD+ resolution & a waterdrop-style notch. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and runs Android 14-based One UI 6.1 out of the box.

Since for now, there are no official words regarding the specifications of the forthcoming Galaxy A06 5G, it remains to see whether the device will offer the same specifications as the 4G variant or will offer more advanced ones.
