Samsung hints at the next foldable lineup via One UI 7 beta

Samsung is gearing up to debut seventh-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, in 2025. Meanwhile, a new One UI 7 beta leak includes the upcoming model numbers for the upcoming foldable, including a new variant called Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

The latest One UI 7 leaks hinted that Samsung will continue making foldable smartphones, and currently at least three foldable are in the line to debut next year. One of our colleagues, Android Authority, revealed a few model numbers spotted in the One UI 7 beta that are expected to belong to the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Fold SE 2. The spotted models are mentioned below:

  • SM-F751: Galaxy Z Flip 7
  • SM-F966: Galaxy Z Fold 7
  • SM-F968: Galaxy Z Fold SE 2

The Galaxy Z Fold SE 2 is expected to be a level-up version of the current Special Edition device. Noticeably, the list of One UI 7 beta doesn’t mention the Galaxy S25 Slim, which is expected to be the new and fourth variant of the Galaxy S25 series. The rumored Galaxy Z Flip FE is also not mentioned in the list.

However, Samsung has yet to confirm the release date of these devices, but the spotted model numbers hinted at the near release. On the side, the company is also facing growing competition in the foldable market from its rival brands; for instance OnePlus with the upcoming OnePlus Open 2.
