One UI 7 Beta 3 Additional Changes: Not Mentioned in the Changelog

Samsung released the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta 3 update for the flagship models, the S24 series, on 6th January, 2025. The newer update, though, significantly focuses on fixing various bugs while also introducing certain relevant improvements, but fans can expect to see some surprising features and changes too that are not mentioned in the official changelog.
Apart from the changes and fixes listed in the One UI 7 beta 3 changelog (click to get all the newest changes and improvements that arrived with the version), Samsung has further provided some surprising features to the users via the new update.
One UI 7 Beta 3 Additional Changes
These changes can be easily noticed right after installing the latest build on their smartphones. From redesigning certain factors for better usability to adding a few changes to improve the overall experience, here’s the list that will let you know about what’s exciting about the newer One UI 7 beta 3 features.
Redesigned features:
Battery Icon:
First up, with One UI 7 beta 3, the battery indicator has been redesigned to offer a more interactive experience to the users. The new battery icon seems more or less similar to the previous beta 2 update; however, the battery percentage inside the battery pill has now adopted a more bold look, with the numbers now taking on a black shade.
Charging Animation:
Alternatively, the battery charging animations also boost a minor change, as when plugged into a charger, the phone’s battery indicator placed at the top of the home screen expands itself for a few seconds, but the word Charging word is now displayed inside the pill with black color in the background.
Galaxy AI Icon:
Apart from this, the Galaxy AI icon has also been redesigned, giving it slight yet visual changes to the design. It now gets a nice gradient effect with blue hues at the top, while it has greenish hues at the bottom of the icon. Therefore, the new Galaxy AI icon now looks more interactive and attractive.
Home Screen Apps and Widget Style:
Lastly, the newest beta build further brings more home screen customization options that have been integrated under the apps and widget style settings. This allows users the ability to increase or decrease the app’s size of the home and app screen and add app and widget labels to the home screen.
One UI 7 Beta 3 New changes and improvements:
Quick Panel:
Right after separating the notifications from the Quick panel, with the One UI 7 beta 3, Samsung has now shifted the Quick panel to the left side for more convenience for those who are habitual of using their smartphones with the left hand. This adds a new option, “Quick panel on the left side,” under the Panel Settings. Alternatively, the width of the Quick panel has also been increased for large-screen Galaxy devices that now take up more space for a much more immersive look.
NowBar:
Since Now Bar is designed to display certain significant information from the apps at a glance, Samsung removed some items that are supported in the Now Bar’s Live Notifications, leaving only a few activities to access, including Interpreter, Clock, and Emergency Sharing options with the One UI 7 beta 3 in the Now Bar.
Sound Effect:
Among all the aforementioned changes and features, an interesting change has also arrived with the fingerprint locking and unlocking sound. With the One UI 7 beta 3 update, Samsung has slightly changed the sound. The fingerprint locking and unlocking sounds more interesting and intuitive.
