Samsung Galaxy devices have slowly and steadily started receiving the January 2025 security update in different parts of the world. Meanwhile, the company is expanding the patch to even more users with carrier-unlocked Galaxy Z foldables in the US.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Flip 4, are getting a new software update, which is now available for the carrier-unlocked models with the F956U1UES2AXLFF741U1UES2AXLF, and F936U1UES7GXLF and F721U1UES7GXLF version numbers.

Although the Android security bulletin for the January month has already been detailed, that doesn’t bring any new features or changes; the update significantly adds fixes for all the security vulnerabilities from both Google and Samsung that are addressed in the previous version. It eventually helps users to a safe and secure experience and protects the device against external threats and other potential risks.

Alternatively, the update further brings certain performance optimizations for more efficient functionality for the users. Simultaneously, it adds stability and reliability to the overall system behavior, applies the latest security patches, and delivers much-enhanced features that in turn provide a stable, optimized, and better user experience and functionality for the users.

Moreover, Samsung has already distributed the January patch for the carrier-locked units in the US, while now, the above-mentioned foldable users can now download the latest version as it’s available to download.
