Samsung’s New Neo QLED and Lifestyle TVs Designed to Protect Your Eyes

Samsung at CES 2025 unveiled its new TV lineup, including Neo QLED and Lifestyle series TVs that have received the EyeCare Circadian certifications from VDA, which proves they are safer for the eyes.
The Korean tech giant revealed that its latest Neo QLED and Lifestyle series TVs have received the EyeCare Circadian certification from VDA (Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik).
The VDE is a world-renowned electrical engineering certification institute that has awarded the EyeCare Circadian certification to Samsung’s Neo QLED 4K, Neo QLED 8K, and Lifestyles series TVs.
It is a standard that evidences a device, such as a screen or display, and is designed to minimize disruption to the users’ natural circadian rhythm by carefully managing the amount and spectrum of blue light emitted, crucially promoting better sleep health by considering the body’s natural light sensitivity throughout the day.
The circadian rhythm is the human body’s natural cycle; behavioral, mental, and physical changes happen, and they are affected by dark and light environments around us. The VDE is awarded to those devices that support a human body’s natural circadian rhythm and evaluates devices across six critical criteria, which are as follows:
- Circadian Stimulus (CS) Index, Color Fidelity, Flicker Level, Gentle to the Eyes, Safety for Eyes, Uniformity.
This means that Samsung’s latest TV lineup is quite significant to watch even for hours, as it is safer than its predecessors.
