Meanwhile, a researcher named Natalie Silvanovich has spotted and reported the vulnerability: CVE-2024-49415, which has been kept under the high-level threat category and apparently affects Galaxy models running Android 12, Android 13, and Android 14, respectively.

Although this severe vulnerability has already been fixed with the December 2024 security patch, it was actually based on RCS service being operated by default in Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 series phones. In simple words, the attacker can easily share any threat-based audio message to any smartphone that’s running RCS service via Google Messages that can cause the security layer to crash.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 series owners are now protected against this dangerous Google Messages security vulnerability, as it’s already fixed with the previous security patch, and install the latest security version to avoid any threat entering your smartphones.
