Samsung could be collaborating with OpenAI to power its Vision AI on smart TVs

At CES 2025, Samsung presented its amazing innovations that will definitely help in taking the advancements to the next level while also announcing its showstopper: the Vision AI for its wide range of newly introduced smart TV lineup. Recent reports reveal that the company is working on integrating OpenAI via Vision AI on its TVs.
In case you missed it! Samsung Vision AI is a new suite that is fully packed with various powerful AI features. It is innovatively designed to offer more personalized features such as Circle To Search, the Live Translate feature, and Generative Wallpapers for smart TVs, including OLED, QLED, Neo QLED, and The Frame series.
Meanwhile, new reports via a Korean news outlet significantly reveal that Samsung is looking towards joining hands with OpenAI to create an “open partnership.” This collaboration will certainly allow Galaxy smart TV users to experience more advanced and useful features that are powered by Samsung Vision AI via OpenAI integration on its smart TVs.
It’s reported that Samsung Electronics is likely to use image generation AI: Dali, voice AI: Whisper, and interface model “01” to offer more personalized content recommendations, conversational assistants, multitasking support, real-time translation, customized healthcare advice, customized entertainment, and more.
Alternatively, Samsung Vision AI will further integrate advanced functionality in picture and sound quality that enables a more captivating and intuitive experience alongside on-device AI picture and sound technologies that detect content and environmental aspects in real time for dynamically adjusting screen visuals and audio for an optimized and immersive viewing and sound experience.
