Samsung’s January 2025 security update hit the Galaxy S22 series smartphones a week ago in the US; meanwhile, the company is now expanding the patch for the devices in Europe.

The January 2025 security patch for the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra has now been spotted in some parts of European countries, including Germany, that can be identified with the S901BXXSDEXL1S906BXXSDEXL1, and S908BXXSDEXL1 version numbers.

Meanwhile, the software patch, however, doesn’t list any major features or changes, but it primarily focuses on improving the overall security of the device by integrating various fixes from both Google and Samsung collectively for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in the previous version that eventually leads to a more safe and secure user experience while also protecting the device against external threats.

Alternatively, the update further introduces various performance optimizations, adds stability and reliability to the system behavior, applies the latest security patches, and offers much improved features that in turn help users to have a smoother, more stable, and more efficient performance and functionality.

While the January patch for Samsung’s 2022 smartphones is going live in the US and Europe, it’s expected to reach even more regions shortly.
